A Little Thought of a Little Thing
By Dita Anggraeni
My Best Friend’s Wedding
Yesterday My Best Friend’s Wedding was on TV. It is one of my favorite movie. For those of you who haven’t watch the movie, you’d better get a moment to watch it. Yeah, I know it’s not thriller. It’s just a romantic comedy. And what do you expect from romantic comedy? Some mushy dialog maybe…
Anyway, My Best Friend’s Wedding is a little bit different. Not only the sad ending… Or maybe it’s about the Julia Robert? Yeah, she’s a queen for a romantic comedy. Nothing Hill, Pretty Woman, Runaway Bride, Step Mom, American Sweet Heart,… you named it!!!
The good thing about romantic comedy is… you can laugh and you can cry at the same time. Sometimes it’s ironic. Sometimes it’s very… yourself. Yeah, maybe that’s why some people (like me!) love romantic comedy.
Do you know what? I cried the first time I watched it. Hahah!! Yeah, I did. And some friends laughed at me. But hey.. I was so sad… it felt like I could feel Jules’ feeling for Michael. It was so painful. I didn’t cry when I saw Titanic because the girl loves the boy and the boy loves her in return. I think it was a win-win situation. But in My Best Friend’s Wedding Jules loves Michael, and yeah… she had to let go. Ouw… * sob*
A friend asked me: “So… which side are you? Jules, Michael, Kim or George?” And to answer this you definitely have to watch the movie!!!
Well… actually, I’m neutral. Abstain. Hahaha… it’s like someone who don’t have a voice of her own. Okay, I’m absolutely on George’s side. Of course! He is so lovable. He always there for Jules, her best friend. And he can make friend with everybody (except Michael). He made the situation very warm and full of happiness. Remember the singing at the lunch table? “The moment I wake up.. before I put on my make up….” He started that! And the way he made a phone call for Jules at the end oh the movie, ouw… in other words, he is so sweet. Except for the fact that he is day. But I think that’s forgivable. Hahahaha…
OK, enough about George. And enough about this My Best Friend’s Wedding thing. It won’t be A little thought of a little thing if I write too much. I just want to share with you, that My Best Friend’s Wedding is a one thing that we can share.
P.S : There’s an issue that there will be a sequel which titled : My Best Friend’s Divorce. What?!?!?! After all those tears I’ve cried???!!?!?!
A Little Thought of a Little Thing is just one of the Dita’s expressive way. I like writing (very much), and now I think it’s time for me to have a courage to publish it. It would be nice to share it with the people around me. Hopefully, this little writing thing could inspire you. Oh, and I am very welcome if you want to write me back. Just reply.
